What is a .ODP file?
Everything worth knowing about OpenDocument Presentation files.
An ODP file is an OpenDocument Presentation, the slide-deck format used natively by LibreOffice Impress and Apache OpenOffice Impress. Open it for free in LibreOffice, upload it to Google Slides in a browser, or open it in Microsoft PowerPoint (2007 SP2 and later). To share with PowerPoint users, save a copy as .pptx.

Is my .ODP file uploaded anywhere?
No. Your .ODP file is unpacked and drawn for you.
Will it look exactly like in PowerPoint?
Close, but not pixel-perfect. Text, shapes, pictures, tables, colours and the theme are redrawn from the file. Animations, transitions, charts, SmartArt and some special effects are simplified or skipped.
Can I see the speaker notes?
Yes. Notes appear under the current slide whenever the author added them, and they're counted in the info panel.
What about old .PPT files?
For PowerPoint 97-2003 files the viewer extracts the text of every slide, titles and bullets included, but doesn't draw the layout yet. Save the file as PPTX for a full preview.
And Apple Keynote?
Keynote files keep their slides in a proprietary format. If the file contains its built-in preview image we show it; otherwise export the deck from Keynote as PPTX or PDF.
