What is a .VDF file?
The most common data format on the web.
A VDF file is most commonly a Valve Data Format file, a plain-text key-value file used by Steam to store app manifests, game configs, and controller bindings. Open it with any text editor such as Notepad++ or VS Code. If the file is named vbase000.vdf or similar, it belongs to Avira antivirus and should not be opened or edited.
