What is a .NET file?
The most common data format on the web.
A NET file is most commonly the IBM AIX rc.net shell script, which configures network interfaces, hostname, and routing at system boot on AIX Unix servers. Open it in any text editor. It has no relation to Microsoft .NET; that framework uses .config, .dll, and .exe files, not .net.
