What is a .AUT file?

A .aut file is an AutoIt automation script for Windows - plain text containing commands that simulate keystrokes, mouse clicks, and window interactions. Open it with AutoIt3 or any text editor. AutoIt v3 replaced .aut with .au3 in 2004, so this extension signals an older script. Treat any unsolicited .aut file as suspicious; AutoIt scripts are a common malware vehicle.
